incorporates over 8500 high resolution digital still photos from
various cities and
landscapes in North America and Asia. The film is a kinetic montage
meditating on the perpetual battle between the natural landscape and
the artificial structures that rise, fall, and are rebuilt to even
grand scale over time. It is steel Megacities versus painted skies.
TEMPUNAUT 1 is
first in a
series of montages I plan to produce using TK Time-lapse clips.
This montage utilizes the
original Los Angeles footage from the collection. The film was
originally screened as TAKE IT ALL and the music was composed by Chasing
Echo. The word "tempaunaut" is taken from science-fiction
master Philip K. Dick's short story "A Little Something for Us
Tempunauts" about government time-travellers who believe they are stuck
in an infinite time loop.

was the first montage cut with the Los Angeles footage that was on
the original Mythopolis

page. The beautiful music used in the film is "Terra Firma" by
the brilliant band Delerium.
